Vibe magazine has announced that after 16 years of bringing us the best urban music has to offer, they are closing their doors. They found out as they were preparing the Michael Jackson tribute issue which we were majorly looking forward to. We will always treasure our stashes of the mag and look forward to any future endeavors of the company.

I had the pleasure of being invited to the Vibe magazine photo shoot months ago to peep the remake of the original Vibe spread featuring the late Notorious B.I.G. The issue was to celebrate their 15th anniversary and the fashion director, Memsor, requested I bring an L&D “spread luv” sweatshirt for his son. I said no prob! and headed over to St. James Street to check it out. While there, I was introduced to Faith and her son Christopher Wallace Jr. aka Lil Chris. I passed him the sweatshirt and Memsor styled him in the legendary red/black lumberjack…and yes of course…with the hat to match!
