Lemar And Dauley®

This past week was pretty interesting in NYC. First, we had an entire week of 70 degree weather in late October(?) as well as the 2009 CMJ Music Marathon which took full advantage of this good fortune. Unfortunately I wasn't able to partake in the festivities due to work, but whenever I miss an opportunity to see my friends perform I check out villageslum to see what I missed. After compiling different shows, I put together a lil recap for those in the same boat as me! Enjoy!

Congrats to DJ Jasmine Salano who snatched the crown from the Budweiser Battle For Crown Competition this weekend. We had the opportunity this Friday to witness Jasmine battle for the slot to perform at The Rock The Bell concert on July 19th at Jones Beach, NYC. The show was a bit lackluster with more than enough “Money, Cash, Hoes” references. This is pretty much standard hip hop, so we werent judging, but their was alot to be desired and Ms. Salano fit the bill!
