So me and Reemo were checking out Va$htie's new site and much to our delight one of Reem's favorite-ist artists did the illustrations for it. We realized in a shock of sad surprise that we had never written about him here. Once the horror engulfed us that you guys may not be familiar with James Blagden we immediately sought pennace via a dozen hail Marys and some ritualistic face carving. Okay maybe it was more like a fight over the last of the Orangeade, an impromptu trip to his site and a fingerpointing war about who should do the write-up. They don't call Reems quick-draw McGraw for nothing. It may have been my destiny to post, but Reems stuck around to dictate to me everything of note anyway. How the 27-yr old James does the artwork for the Brooklyn Hip-Hop festivals, How he has done illustrations for the New York Times and King magazine, and even how he thinks me and James should have a son named Piece-den. Oh wait no, I think that last part was something about him being from Denver … yeah that's it. Anyway now that you're familiar with him go ahead and pick your favorite drawings. I dare you to find less than 5.
