Well that's a little misleading cause it's quite simple actually. A pretty girl who's “next up” the female rap world is asked to take pictures and look pretty. Doesn't really seem like a tough decision. Anywho, here's the video from the set.

The BET hip-hop awards just aired and amongst the highlights every year is the taped cypher sessions. This year didn't dissappoint as Mos Def a.k.a. Flaco a.k.a. Black Dante ripped a cypher with Black Thought and Eminem (or shall we say Rainman) put caution tape around that cypher. On the other end of things, Nicki Minaj got on her cartoonish flow in her cypher with Buckshot Shorty of Black Moon, Crown Royal and Joey Buddens. Okay so I'm not in the hallowed pantheon of “5 Star chick” ringtone buyers. In fact, even if all my nerves were surgically removed, I couldn't care less about the song. Ironically, such a change would have probably made the song more palatable … the original track that is. As irony would also have it though, I think the remix is wickedawesome. Yo Gotti “steps his cookies up” by including that phrases' originator on it; the indomitable Nicki Minaj. Trina steps on the track to make the 5 star sex appeal 3 alarm blazing and Gucci Mane hops on board to show us how fast he counts numbers and to make us all appreciate phonics. I'm just kiddin' like Jason … Gucci's hot and so is this remix. Check out the new video above.

News come in that Nicki Minaj will officially join Drake and fam over at Lil Wayne's Young Money/Universal imprint. Nicki had this to say: “To say I’m excited would be an understatement. It’s validation. It’s proof. It’s empowerment.” It has to be pretty empowering to ink a deal that allows you to retain and own all of your merchandising, endorsements, touring, sponsorships and publishing rights. She also dropped her new video for “Itty Bitty Piggy” where she's showing off her noticeably curvier physique. Congrats to Nicki, Young Money and Hydrogel injections. It's a good day for all of you.
