Over the last few weeks I've had the opportunity to speak with SK about his thoughts and emotions prior to the release of his debut album The Salvation dropping next tues. I had a bunch of questions because truthfully I feel honored to be able to converse with an emcee of our generation who is highly respected and skilled at his craft. 

Last week, I actually got to witness him write and record a verse for a guest feature on L&D co-founder Manhattan's LP(I'll provide more info on that in the following weeks). That studio session gave me greater clarity on what exactly alot of us are actually apart of. If you haven't noticed yet, many of the artist this brand has had the pleasure of knowing and cosigning(and vice versa) such as Skyzoo, U-N-I, Kid Cudi, and The Clipse are this generations Nice & Smooth, AZ, Capone & Norega and Mase, but with better fashion sense! The point is that we follow them, support them, and watch their every movement hoping to gain a little bit more info on what makes them who they are and how we relate to them. With this in mind, 2dopeboyz offers fans the opportunity to ask Skyzoo any questions they may have and we find out how a Chuck English produced Skyzoo Ep could possibly go down!!

As all purveyors of taste and G.O.O.D. music know, today's the day Cudi's album dropped. Man on the Moon has been critically heralded as a classic album of this generation already and from what I've heard so far, I would be inclined to agree. I finally got to hear the full version of that song “Alive” I was going crazy over a few weeks ago and man it did not disappoint but is probably one of my favorite joints on the album. So make sure to find yourself on the moon sometime this week to get his soundscan poppin' and while you're putting on your moonboots be sure to check out that “Alive” joint below as well as Cudi's performance of “Make her say” and “Day n Nite” on 106 the other day beneath the cut.

If you're like us, which face it you are, you're probably waiting to hear that new Cudi album. So far from what we've been hearing this album is going to create a new template in hip-hop. From the album art itself, to the way the tracks are listed (in acts, the way plays are formatted), to the obviously diverse musical references and styles contained therein. We wanted you all to hear a couple of our favorite songs so far. The first is an incredibly catchy little ditty full of melancholy pathos. And the second has the wickedest guitar riff which has to be sampled from somewhere cause it feels too familiar. I NEED to hear that full song!!! Until then, you can take what I have and enjoy.

Ok so its pretty incredible that all my friends are super talented.  I remember years ago my friends telling me what they wanted to do and now they are actually doing it, their dreams are coming true. I feel like a proud mom lol.  Well last night my long time buddy “Kid Cudi” performed at Santos for the 1992-Anniversary.  I told him id go but i got caught up in my usual randomness and wasn’t able to make it out.  Well i went to my friend Mel D. Cole’s  site “villageslum” to check out what i missed and it looked like i missed a good one alt=(" class="wp-smiley">

Jay-Z showed up and that’s pretty big, any friend of mine that has Jay pop up at a show deserves major kudos.  Well me and Cudi had a long talk the other night, we just caught up, exchanged stories and such and he told me about some really cool projects he is working on.  Like super duper cool stuff so you must keep an eye out.  As always i support those i consider friends and although we get in our annual fights i must say im prouder then proud can be of him. ***Ps. As i went though my pic archives i came across pics from my House party bday about 3 years ago……Awwww the memories. In the middle of all the pics i found a little video clip of Cudi rapping in my kitchen with all the homeys Dice, Johnny, Kareem, Mickey and Steve-O, as all the ladies sat in the living room lol…….I think i should have another one of these lil gatherings for my bday this year, i forgot all the fun everyone had.
